Ignighter: So, how would you describe your dating life?
Chad: For a while it was none existent. After school my main focus was on work; spending time with friends and family took more of a backseat position.
Dating, I guess, got lost somewhere in the trunk
Ignighter: What is your idea of a successful first date?
Chad: For a first date all you can hope for is some kind of connection. If both people are able to carry on a conversation and have fun I would call the date a success. Love at first sight isn't a must, but I don't think it could hurt either.
Ignighter: Where would you go?
Chad: I think you have to do something fun. Meeting a coffee shop or restaurant puts a lot of pressure on your 1-on-1conversation. A Yankee game would be perfect - it's fun, exciting, and there is plenty of time to get to know someone - unless the Yanks lost... I'm not interested in dating someone who is bad luck ;-).
Ignighter: What turned you on to the site?
Chad: I try to avoid uncomfortable situations at all costs. Getting my friends together and signing up was a simple and painless way to try and meet new people.
Ignighter: Can you tell us about your last Ignighter date?
Chad: Sure, last week my friends and I met a group of four girls on the site and decided to go for it. We all planned on staying at this one bar all night, but we ended up hopping all around SoHo.
Ignighter: What made you choose this particular group of girls?
Chad: They seemed outgoing and full of energy. On a Friday night all my friends and I want to do is let loose so we figured we were a good match.
Ignighter: How did your expectations match up to the real thing?
Chad: It was amazing. We hit it off within five minutes of meeting each other. I was worried at first because my friends are all very different personalities. Turns out the girls were too. After the first bar we were picking up on all of our little quarks - it made for a hilarious night. Oh, plus they were way hotter in real life.
Ignighter: Any dates coming up?
Chad: Haha, my friend asked me that about an hour ago. We are going to meet up with the girls from last week again soon, but we haven't picked a date yet. That isn't to say we haven't been checking out other Ignighter groups too though.
Ignighter: Do you have any suggestions for new groups out there?
Chad: Yes, don't be shy, Go for it!. The more excited and proactive your group is on the site the more fun you are going to have.
